About DiriGo TouchPass Card

Launched: 2020
DiriGo TouchPass Card smartcard, available at all transit agency offices. These locations include the METRO Pulse at Elm Street, the Saco Transportation Center, and the South Portland City Hall Finance Office. Fare capping is a new way to pay using the DiriGo system that makes sure you pay only for the amount of service you use and that you never pay more than a certain amount each day and each month.
DiriGo TouchPass Card Features
- Riders can use their DiriGo Pass on Greater Portland Metro, Biddeford Saco Old Orchard Beach Transit (BSOOB Transit), and South Portland Bus Service.
- Fare Deal Promotion (From March 1 – September 30, 2023)
- All bus rides will be half of their regular price during this promotion, including local and express service and full and reduced fares
- Reduced fare passengers’ fares will be reduced from $1 to $0.50 during the promotional period (March 1, 2023 to September 30, 2023)
Card reader sounds and lights
The card reader sound and lights will be different depending on your type of card.
The reader will give:
- Green – Fare is paid for. You may board.
- Yellow – Low balance. You will need to add stored value to your account. You may board.
- Red -No money in your account. You will need to add stored value before you can board. Please contact customer service.
