I was saddened and terribly disappointed with my first order of a cellphone for over R 9 000,00 and which I paid for by credit card. I was over exited, because I hadn’t a new cellphone in over 4 years. Also seen that I have a huge mental health problem I thought the new cellphone, will lift my spirit . Well Takealot knew how to ruined it. I went on the website receive all the different options. I decided to pay a delivery fee and wanted to collect the item the same afternoon, but to no avail. The warehouse in Glen Marais, Kempton Park is only a few kilometers from one of the collection points, which is Unit 2C Grader Place, 23 Grader Road, Spartan Kempton Park. I need to mention, which wouldn’t be a problem to Takealot.com to deliver the same day. But surprise, surprise I was asked for a copy of my ID document, which I understand! I provided a copy of my ID to them, but I am still waiting on my SMS or e-mail to collect. I received an e-mail this morning that I might receive the order only from tomorrow, 3 June, 2022 and that after I paid a delivery fee of R 85,00 for the same day delivery which was yesterday, 1 June, 2022. Well with my mental health problems, will a company so big as Takealot.com with millions of clients/customers really care for one client or customer, I don’t think so!! I forgot to mention that your system failed me very badly as well, the one glitch after the other when I tried to complete something and retried so many times to submit!!! Feeling a little better after I expressed myself. Well let us wait and see if a miracle will still happen today, 2 June, 2022. Well I will include my order no. 107920532, if that will matter!!

I live in Escombe Durban. I’m a Cell C user. In loadshedding, my signal disappears, and for hours after loadshedding. My phone has also a VodaCom signal, which I don’t use, however I suspect that signal also disappears.
a What could I do to keep my signal with loadshedding?
b. Could some combination of a router and UPS, help keep my signal?
c. Any device you would recommend?
d. Could a change in network help?
e. Are some networks, loadshedding resistant?
f. Doesn’t loadshedding mean, battery towers of all networks are dead?

I purchased a Blue Nova 5,12Kw battery 3 days ago for R38,200 only to be informed today 16 May that the supplier was out of stock. This was a darn good price considering that the battery retails at around R42,000. To my surprise, Takealot is advertising the very battery that the supplier has no stock of TODAY for R46,500 excl. delivery. Co-incidence or plain old crookery. Highly disappointed and will think twice of using Takealot again. Frustrated that a complaints email cant be found and calling the contact centre ends up with the call being cut. This sort of experience will eventually result in declining customer support.
